CDC Announces Huge Breakthrough In Battle Against COVID 19

USA Today reports that the Center For Disease Control has reversed its initial position on COVID 19 spreading on surfaces. In March the news was the virus could live for up to 3 days on hard surfaces. This was horrible news! Rubber gloves and cleaning products were almost instantaneously wiped clean from shelves by desperate Americans frantic over preventing the spread of the coronavirus. The CDC now says COVID 19 does NOT spread easily off of surfaces!

Dr. John Whyte, chief medical officer says “Many people were concerned that by simply touching an object they may get coronavirus and that’s simply not the case. Even when a virus may stay on a surface, it doesn’t mean that it’s actually infectious. This new guideline helps people understand more about what does and doesn’t increase risk. It doesn’t mean we stop washing hands and disinfecting surfaces. But it does allow us to be practical and realistic as we try to return to a sense of normalcy".

This is great news for people who have been stressing out about receiving packages at their home or even touching items in stores.
