Man Reunited With Parents 32 Years After Being Kidnapped!

Mao Yin was taken from his parents outside of a hotel in China back in 1988 when he was two years old. He was then sold to a couple with no children for $855, according to Chinese state-broadcaster CCTV. This years for Mothers Day the family was reunited!

His biological parents never stopped looking for him and in April, police received a tip-off about a man who had bought a child in the late 1980s. Police used facial recognition technology to analyze an old photo of Mao as a toddler and simulated an image of him as an adult and used that to locate him. A DNA test confirmed it was him and the 34-year-old recently got to hug his parents for the first time in three decades and all three of them broke down in tears.

Mao says he’s planning to move so he can live with his biological mother and father. His mom,Li Jingzhi, quit her job and searched for her son. She printed and posted 100,000 flyers! Then for years went on dozens of national television programs. She also volunteered for a group that helps parents in China whose child was abducted. She helped 29 of them reunite with their families. Mao says he had actually seen his mother on TV talking about how much she missed her son and wanted to help others, but had no idea he was her son!

Now that she has her boy back she says, “I don’t want him to leave me anymore.”
