Jared Leto has been rock climbing for years, and he’sclimbed with the pros. But even experts have their moments, and Leto’s latest climb over the weekend almost cost him his life. The Oscar-winner has taken to social media to tell fans all about the death-defying moment.
Sharing some pics from his outing with rock climber Alex Honnold, Leto says his rope was cut by a section of Red Rock Canyon in Nevada, just as he was dangling “some 600 ft in the air.” Luckily, he’s still with us – and despite the near-death experience, he and Honnold, “continued climbing into the night.”
“Not to sound dramatic, but this is the day I nearly died,” he writes. “It was a strange moment – less fear, more matter of fact, and slightly melancholy. But we made it through and lived to see another day.”Check out the post below.
