Jessica Simpson told Hoda Kotb that her ex husband Nick Lachey had sent her a gift after the birth of her first child with her current husband Eric Johnson. Nick’s wife Vanessa was asked about the gift a few days later and insisted she and Nick didn’t send Jessica a gift, despite Jess saying they did. Well, now Jess has re-remembered the situation “Um, well, I don’t really know that I got a gift pe se,” she said. “But my gift with Nick is that he is happy...I mean, that’s really a gift to me because I thought that I crushed his heart.” So did they actually send a gift? “I didn’t get a gift...I don’t know where that came from.”
