Town Organizes Entertainment For "Bubble Boy"

After a stem cell transplant to treat his brain cancer temporarily wiped out three-year-old Quinn Waters’natural immunities, so he has to stay avoid human contact for a while. He has to be in a bubble if going outside so his dad,Jarlath, says they keep him inside their Weymouth, Massachusetts home just about all the time.

Quinn gets a little anxious to see what’s going on out in the world. So family started coming by to visit through the front window. And word got out and now more and more visitors are stopping by to cheer Quinn up and entertain him. Neighbors have brought no-contact art projects and have done stupid human tricks. He’s had a dog parade and a team of Irish step dancers set up a performance in his front yard. And his parents say all of it’s helping him get better.

"It's the positive energy from all these people that we believe has gotten him through his sickness," Jarlath explains. "You can never repay, you know — just maybe pay it forward."
