Students at Troy High School in Ohio were in for a surprise when they went to their lockers before school on Tuesday. Each and every locker had a Valentine - an origami paper heart hanging on the outside with the words “You are loved.”
The Valentines were all made by one anonymous student, who started the project in September and kept the entire thing a secret from everyone. This student also stuffed staff members’ mailboxes with personal notes of appreciation.
“To have someone so dedicated to every single person in this building — that’s just an amazing quality for anybody to have, especially a high school student,” says Principal Katherine Weaver who saw the student (with some helpers) posting them to all 1300 lockers and staff members mail boxes. "I’ve never seen a gesture be so overwhelmingly positive. It really set the tone for Valentine’s Day.”
