Tom Selleck Is Broke?

Since 2016 Tom Selleck has been the national spokesperson for American Advisors Group (AAG) reverse mortgages. It sounds as if he could use their services posthaste

It's marketed as "an essential financial solution for a growing number of senior citizens." By law you have to be over 62 for a reverse mortgage which the FTC breaks down the basics of here.

79 year old Tom Selleck was on CBS Sunday Morning to talk about what's next for him now that “Blue Bloods” is ending after 14 seasons. The reporter is touring Tom's 63 acre ranch a little north of LA in Ventura County CA. She is shocked when Tom says that he’ll need to find a new gig quickly if he hopes to be able to afford the bills on his ranch. When she asks if he's serious -- he tells her, you're GD right!

I am shocked because Tom isn't a flashy guy and has been married to the same woman since the 1980's. He's also made millions doing radio and TV ads for Florida OJ, Coldwell Banker, AT&T, Lipton Tea, Chrysler, Pepsi, Nat Geo channel and of course AAG. He's also starred in major movies like 3 Men & A Baby, In & Out, and MR Baseball. Blue Bloods has been a top CBS show for over a decade but that's not even close to the size of audience Magnum PI on that network carried in the 80's! He's done other work on stage and TV as well.

Tom bought this avocado ranch that he claims is too expensive to keep, in 1988 and according to AD paid 5 million for it. A 30 year mortgage would have been paid off 6 years ago.

Where did Tom's money go?
