Ashley Madison, the dating site for married people, recently did a survey to see how faithful their members are outside the bedroom. Their slogan is “Life is short. Have an affair,” so they’re pretty much the experts in this department.
To find out if adulterers can be loyal to things aside from their husband or wife, Ashley Madison members were given a list of more than 20 things and were asked if they’re more likely to cheat on those items or their spouse. And the results show they can be loyal to a lot, just not the person they’re married to.
- 87% would rather cheat on their partner than cheat on their taxes, while 90% would rather cheat on their spouse than on a job application or a test.
- 89% would rather cheat on their partner than on their real estate agent or bank and 83% would rather cheat on their spouse than their cell phone provider.
- And 85% are more loyal to their favorite gym than their partner, while 90% feel the same about their personal trainer.
- Even the person that cuts their hair gets their loyalty, as 82% of members would cheat on their partner before going to a new hairstylist or barber behind their regular one’s back.
- Another 86% of Ashley Madison users say they’d rather cheat on their spouse than vote with the other political party.
- They’re also 84% more likely to have an affair than cheat on their preferred music streaming service.
