The popular Star Wars attraction at Disneyland "Rise of the Resistance" was shut down after someone dumped cremated ashes there.
Disney tells the SF Gate that this happens a lot. Cremated remains are classified as a biohazard and are toxic if inhaled. Disney staff actually have their own codeword for when this occurs. "Code Grandma" is put out on the radio along with the location of the dumping. Crew have to put on protective equipment and then go clean it up while hundreds or maybe thousands of confused angry people are ushered away from that area of the park.
Anaheim Police Department spokesman Sgt. Daron Wyatt says that officers “have responded on calls for service regarding ashes at Disneyland about every other month since the park reopened from COVID".
