What's The Most Expensive Thing You Own?

A post on Reddit asks, “What’s the most expensive thing you have?” Thousands of people have chimed in with their answers, which range from serious to flat out funny. These are some of the top responses.

  • “A liver cost almost a million”
  • “A piece of paper that says I studied chemistry cost me almost a half million”
  • “Excluding a house and car, I have a Jordan rookie ('86 Fleer) card that I got when I was a kid. I don't know the exact amount it is worth because it hasn't been professionally graded. It isn't mint, but it doesn't have frayed corners or anything like that. I'm guessing the 25 cent pack yielded a card worth at least 10 grand.”
  • “Wedding ring. 20 years later, I'm still paying for it.”
  • “My husband. I imported him from Australia. He’s priceless.”
  • “Outside my apartment, my car. Inside my apartment, my human hair wig…”
  • “The ICD implanted in my chest. It's insane what that little device cost, not even counting the surgery etc."
  • “My Xbox one console”
  • “Got to be my record collection. Median estimate on Discogs has it at approximately 20K.”
  • “A Banksy I got by accident. They were selling Banksy knockoffs on a market stall. I bought one cause I liked the artwork. Turns out it was a stunt put on by him and I now own an original banksy”
  • “The 37 pieces of titanium holding my spine together cost my insurance company almost a million dollars.”
  • A wife. Costs about $2000 a month in food, shelter, automobile, gas, and pedicures to keep her around.
