Rehabbing Penguin Becomes Obsessed With Claymation Show About Penguin's

An endangered rockhopper penguin in rehab is now hooked on the children's show "Pingu."

Pierrewas found washed ashore in southwest Australia and taken in by the Perth Zoo where he's being treated for moulting issues. Pierre is the only one of his kind there so zookeepers have been letting him watch TV shows about penguins because they were worried he was lonely. Now the children's claymation show, "Pingu" is his favorite.

The zoo says rockhopper penguins are one of the rarest penguins in the world and they're working with international colleagues to find a new home for Pierre so he can be with others just like him.
