Cars Are Being Re-purposed During COVID 19 Quarantine

20% of Americans say they are using their vehicles as a makeshift office to escape family members during Coronavirus quarantine.

A new report by Cars.com finds that more and more people are looking to their cars to help during the COVID 19 crisis. Matt Schmitz, Cars.com assistant managing editor for news says “Our research shows that people just need a break from the daily monotony, and cars are serving as a safe, personal retreat for families. We are even seeing a resurgence in an American pastime: the family Sunday drive.”

The survey also finds 60% of parents and 45% of non-parents have brought back the leisurely Sunday drive simply to be able to get out of the house. 53% of parents say they are using their cars as a way of escaping their home and their kids.
