Animal Shelter Runs Out Of Adoptable Dogs

The coronavirus has brought some GOOD news to an animal shelter. Chicago Animal Care and Control has run out of adoptable dogs for the first time ever. They report that the last two available dogs, Penn and Alley, were adopted Sunday.

The shelter still has dogs at their facility, but they can’t perform spay and neuter surgeries because of coronavirus restrictions from the city, so the animals can’t be adopted yet. New dogs will be available as soon as possible, but for now, they thank everyone who came out to adopt recently and say they’re “amazed at the outpouring of people who wanted to help during this time.”
