Firefighter's genius use of Youtube saves ducklings

A firefighter in Littleton, Colorado used YouTube to help save four scared ducklings who were down in a storm drain. The South Metro Fire Rescue posted an adorable video of the rescue on Twitter, explaining that their firefighters used audio from a YouTube video to lure the young ducks out of the storm drain pipe.

A firefighter was able to scoop four of the baby ducklings from water in the bottom of the drain, but the other four were hiding in the pipe. But the quick-thinking firefighter used his phone to play the sound of the calls, which got the tiny quackers to waddle toward the familiar sound. The department tweets that “the full flock of eight ducklings were safely reunited with their mother nearby.”
